Skip to content- A working day is divided into two sessions – 8.45 a.m. to 12.35 p.m. and 1.20 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. All should arrive at the school at least five minutes earlier to the first bell.
- At the first bell, there should be silence and the pupils should go immediately to the Assembly. In the afternoon when the bell rings, the students should rush to their classroom.
- Having entered the class, the pupils greet their teachers and stand until directed to sit.
- If the teacher does not arrive in the class within five minutes after the bell has rung, the Assistant Class Pupil Leader should report the fact to the office, the Class Pupil Leader should assume responsibility for order and discipline in the class.
- No pupil is allowed to leave the classroom during the session without the permission of the teacher.
- Pupils may not leave the school compound during class hours without a specific permission from the Headmistress.
- If called home during class hours, a letter from the parent or guardian should justify the reason doing so. This letter should be handed to the Headmistress, and not to the class teacher.
- Pupils coming late shall not be admitted into the class without the signature of the Headmistress in the late attendance page in the hand-book.
- Pupils who have been absent shall obtain the signature of the Headmistress in the leave register page in the hand-book.
- No leave of absence is granted, except on previous written application from parents or guardian, and that too only for serious reasons.
- Application for leave must be addressed to the Headmistress and not to the class teacher.
- Pupils should have an attendance of 75% in each term and not less than 150 working days in each school year. If the number of attendance falls short of the minimum prescribed, the pupil is ineligible for promotion to the next class or for a Secondary School Leaving course completed Certificate unless shortage of attendance is condoned by the District Educational Officer.
- The student should wear the School uniform on all working days and also when they come to School for Special Classes and tuitions. Pupils who are slovenly or indecently dressed may not be allowed in the class room, and they may be asked to call their parents.
- Pupils proceeding from one class to another or going for drill class shall do so in silence and in an orderly manner under the guidance of their teacher or class leader.
- Running, playing or shouting inside the School building is never allowed.
- Pupils are forbidden from writing or making any mark on the walls or on furniture. They are also prohibited from throwing paper or spilling ink on the floor. Any kind of damage done to the property of the school must be made good by the concerned pupil.
- No books, other than those used in class, taken from the school library, Magazine and news papers may be brought to the school without the prior permission of the Headmistress. Day scholars should not carry letters or message for hostel girls. Transgression of this rule will be severely punished.
- Anonymous petitions or letters will not be taken notice of.
- No pupil shall linger about or enter the Staff Room without proper reason thereof.
- No collections shall be made and nothing shall be sold in the school premises without the previous sanction of the school authorities.
- Pupils are advised not to wear costly jewels when attending school.
- If the continued presence of a pupil in the school is considered by the Headmistress as subversive of good order and discipline of the school, action will be taken against the concerned pupil, including issue of transfer certificate.
- Every girl is expected to keep up the heritage of the school by excelling in conduct, good manners and cleanliness, both in and out of school.
- All the day scholar students must make their own arrangement for lunch. They should not go out during lunch break. All the students should remain inside from 8.45 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Those who want to go out for lunch or for any other reason must get the permission of the Headmistress.
- Copying during tests and examinations is considered as a very serious offence. Students found copying will be summarily dismissed from the school.
- If students have to come for tuition to the school on holidays, they must come only in full uniform. Immediately after the tuition, they must go back home
