On January 3, 2026, our school received two prestigious honors from the Tamil Nadu School Education Department, Tirunelveli, for the 2025-2026 academic year:

A First-of-Its-Kind Recognition of Student Achievers – January 2026

In January 2026, St. Ignatius Convent Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai, created history by becoming the first school in Tamil Nadu to name classrooms after its student achievers, along with their respective achievements. This pioneering initiative from Tirunelveli District stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to celebrating excellence, motivating students, and preserving the legacy of achievement within the academic environment.

2025 – State Level Boxing Championship – Theni District

In 2025, St. Ignatius Convent Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai, proudly showcased outstanding performance in the Under-19 State Level Boxing Championship held at Theni District. Our talented athletes brought home prestigious medals, adding to the school’s tradition of excellence in martial arts and sports.
